Summer is here! Ive been waiting for ages, and finally its here. To be honest I was starting to lose all faith and expected it to be the most crap summer ever.

Today Ive slept long, realized Ive actually got twice my paycheck due to an bank error (http://www.vg.no/iphone/article.php?artid=559888), head into town and bought myself a pair of new, black Converse, met people in the shopping street carrying big signs saying FREE HUGS!, and hugged them both. Ive also had a caffe chock at Dromedar and read today’s newspaper, for free.

Now I’m at the bus stop, writing this using the wordpress app for iPhone, which or course could use an overhaul, but works like a charm when writing simple updates :)

I wish I had more time to update here to be honest. I have so much to write about, yet I really lack the motivation. I’m considering starting a separate blog for all my posts regarding gadgets, projects and whatnot, and just leave this place for my personal updates.

Many of the posts here contain stuff which really doesnt interest that many, which in turn means people dont come back for reading new updates.
Well see what happens. Until then, enjoy the nice weather!

It’s late, I know, but my sleeping patterns have been somewhat skewed during the past couple of days. Mostly due to my own silliness, but also due to drinking too much caffeine before bedtime.
Anyway, what’s been going on down here you might say (or you might not care, but read this anyway just to pass time, what do I know). I came down here at around 8:30 on Tuesday, and since then most of my time has been passed inside, due to an extreme cold outside. Or, well cold in my sense of the word. The past days have been at around -7 to a -12 degrees, which is not too bad in itself, but coming from +2 to around -2 in Trondheim, It’s a somewhat major change.
Today I went for a walk though, trying to get some Christmas gifts for friends back in Trondheim, a gift for my girlfriend and of course something for the family. Albeit, getting something for my mother and father seems somewhat troublesome. Mostly due to the fact that they have everything, and don’t seem to wish for much (all tough not entirely true, my mom wish for a pair of skis and a cellphone, which is a bit over my budget).
Hopefully I will acquire something tomorrow that will be satisfactory.

And I just realized I wrote this post in quite an “posh” type of style. I do believe the narrator in Heroes is affecting me….. a show of which I’m really enjoying these long nights. I have seen about 5 episodes of season 2 now, and it’s really catching up. I wish I could see everything in one stretch, but then sleep would be out of the question, and I do want to at least see sunshine now and then.

Which reminds me, I really wanted to go out and take some pictures today. There was a mist laying low across Skien today, and every leave, branch and tree was covered in snow crystals, so everything was like a gigantic fairyland. I did however not get out until dusk, and by then there was not much to take pictures of. I do however hope that it will be just as pretty tomorrow, and maybe I’ll get some good shots. I bought this thing for my camera today see, that holds my camera steady, so I might get some really crisp shots.

Now however, I think I should go to bed. I’m starting to get pretty tired and I’m rambling on too much about non-essential information. Ta ta!

Lately I’ve been very busy. For the most part it is because of the fact that I’ve got some appointment at 12, then work at 4. Now, normally that wouldn’t be very busy per say, but in my case it is. Due to the fact I’m working from 16 until 21:30, i keep walking around being stressed out the entire day, just waiting for work to begin.

I had a trip to Sonans yesterday and had a chat with the canceler i was talking about, but for some reason he was sure i had to go 2 years in order to get generell studiekompetanse. Now, i find it a bit odd then that when i was going to Nidaros private skole og kompetansesenter, they said i could finish it in one year…. So i will be contacting another canceler soon to get a second opinion, because frankly, I find it a bit too strange that i have to go 2 years to finish.

Anyway, I should be going soon. Heading for work to interview people about the climatic changes we’re having…. Takes about 2-3 minutes per interview though, so I don’t get that many upset people. Still, asking the same questions for 5 hour straight really sucks. Thankfully i have a book of Penny Arcade comics with me which i read a strip or two before each interview, so I manage.

Friday:
So, it was maybe about time i wrote the last entry about Storås in my blog, right? Well okay, here goes. Even though I’m back home and have been so since 5 am yesterday i still have some stuff to tell.
Well, first of i managed to get one of my earplugs stuck in my left ear…which sucked pretty bad, but after some hectic work with the one end of my glasses i managed to get it out somehow. Was kind of freaked out there for a moment.

Anyway, after my previous blog it was time to go to the Kakkmaddafakka concert at huldra. Safe to say we were all pretty psyched about it, seeing as we were the ones walking around all day every day with camp kakkmaddafakka t-shirts and having a big banner above our camp that said the same. We met up in due time outside the concert hall and prepared our setup for the concert, because we each had a letter in the name kakkmaddafakka on our backs, we had to stand correct according to which letter was going first and so forth when we were going to turn around and face the band.
So after having everything set up, the band started playing, and just as they arrived, we all turned our backs at them at the same time and spelled out the name right in their faces. Safe to say they seemed pretty stunned :D Great fun. They had a really awesome concert with lots of energy and one crazy piano guy. After the concert allot of the girls wanted to head backstage and get some autographs plus maybe even invite them over to our camp later that evening. We ran to the back and after a little while, they actually came out and a few of the girls managed to get their t-shirts autographed.

Next up on the plan was Åge Alexandersen on solscenen. Safe to say there was allot of people…..both old and young. Now, i can understand that most of the trønder people really enjoyed that concert, but as for me, a guy from down south, i really can’t appreciate him the same way these people do, so i didn’t really bother paying much attention to the concert.

Back in camp we just relaxed for some time, hanging out and people starting to get quite drunk. After staying there for a while, next band up was Gogol Bordello. Me however didn’t bother heading down right away, seeing as me and Iselin really got to talking and i didn’t know much about the band, so i wasn’t that particularly interested in seeing them. After chatting with Iselin for a while about horses and whatnot, 2 people showed up and asked if they could have a seat, turns out it was 2 of the members from Kakkmaddafakka! Everyone got really psyched and tried desperately to get in touch with the people watching Gogol Bordello and tell them that kakkmaddafakka was in camp. Sadly none of them replied or picked up the phone, so we just sat chatting with the guys for a while. After about half an hour they decided to leave to get something to eat. They said they’d might come back later, but weren’t totally sure.
By then i had been listening to Gogol Bordello from down stage for some time, and figured I’d maybe go down and have a listen, and at the same time see if i could get a hold of some of the guys down there.
I stumble upon Stian, Julian and Elin standing outside the beer stand trying to get their notes exchanged for beer. I tell them all abut Kakkmaddafakka visiting us in camp, but it seems they didn’t believe us, seeing as we had been kidding earlier that day about them coming to visit us.

After listening to Gogol Bordello and some other bands we decide to head back to camp and hang out there for a while, in hope that Kakkmaddafakka might turn up again, and they did! After a few hours the entire band turns up :o 10 guys and one girl + some friends of the band hang around in our camp and talk to us. By then people were pretty drunk (all except me and Elin seeing as we both didn’t have or bothered to drink that much), and talking more or less total rubbish, disrespecting the band and generally being typical drunkards. Several other people stumble into our camp later on and just hang around with the others.
First at around 4′o clock the band decides it’s about time they leave, seeing as their plane was going to leave at around 5 am, and they got another show to play later that day.

At around 5 people are starting to get really drunk, and several really annoying people start turning up. One being this total sleaze ball trying to flirt with all the girls, and guys in our camp and generally being a real ass. After freaking out the girls for a while, we throw him out of the camp. By the Stian had been drinking so much that he had disappeared for quite some time. Inger-Lise decided it was about time he’d go find him and figure out what had happened to him. After a little while, i really needed to go to the bathroom, so i head up into the woods to take a leak. Just as i enter the woods i hear Inger-Lise yelling for me to come over. Turns out Stian had fallen asleep in the woods, completely smashed and blubbering incoherently. Me and Inger-Lise both tried to comfort him as much as possible and help him as best we could, but we both figured that we couldn’t just take him back to camp, seeing as there was still quite allot of people there. So i went back to camp and persuaded Elin to come with me and maybe stay with Inger-Lise for a while. Just as she came with me, Kenneth also joined and him and Inger-Lise helped Stian back into camp while me and Elin threw some people out and told the ones that belonged to the camp to stay quiet not to upset Stian too much.

After that we decided it would probably be about time to go to bed, so me and Elin went back into our tent and tried to go to sleep. Turns out people were still partying pretty hard all around us, and some guy in the tent next to us snored like a maniac, so we got some earplugs and tried as best we could to go to sleep. After a few minutes Julian turned up and joined us as well, he was pretty sober too and had decided it was about time to go to sleep as well.

Saturday:
Most of Saturday consisted of people having great anxiety attacks after being drunk the night before. Most people not remembering much and most of the day consisted for the most part of laughing at the people that were the most drunk last night, and what they did and said.
After people had settled down a bit, me, Stian, Inger-Lise and Elin wanted to go check out the chill out zone up in the woods, so we headed for the woods. There we came upon a couple sitting by this really cozy fire, and they were really thrilled to see us. We joined them, grilled some sausages, got some coffee from the nice couple and shared some stories about our experiences at the festival so far. By far my best day during the weekend. After staying there for a while we thought it was about time to head back down to camp and check out what people were doing, before heading into the festival area to watch some more concerts. By then it had really started raining allot for the first time during the festival (even though it had been predicted tons of rain during the past days). After getting back to camp it really started pouring down and everyone got soaked to the bone. We sat in camp for a while, got some warm clothes and talked before heading down to watch some concerts.
Ex-Girl was the first ones we watched, and i personally was really thrilled to see them again. It had been 6 years since i last saw them on café radio in Skien and i must say, they hadn’t really changed much. Still same strange music and costumes. Still, it was a fun concert and it was enjoyable to see them again after such a long time. Next up was Big Bang, which in my opinion isn’t much interesting except for their one song called “Pretties girl in Oslo”, which i really enjoy, the rest is pretty much crap, so during the concert me and Elin went to the food tent and got something to eat.
Earlier that day me and Elin had both decided we should might as well head home with the night buss that day, seeing as no concerts really interested us, and s
he was going to work the next day at around 5pm, so she’d rather take the buss at 3:30 then 8:30 in the morning. Anyway, by this time it was pouring down and the camp really started to look a bit like crap, literally. There was so much mud everyone it was impossible to walk properly and being the moron i am, i of course only had converse to the festival…. so they became just piles of mud around my feet as i walked around. Well, after a few more concerts we met up with Stian and Inger-Lise again, which both wanted to go back to the chill out zone to see the fire show they were having there was all about.

Sunday:
We head back into the forest and after some troubles finding the road, we finally stumbled upon the zone again. Now there was loads of people there, drinking and having a great time. There was also a tiny band playing background music and some people doing acrobatics with sticks and other stuff on fire. After sitting there for a while watching them and people, me and Elin figured it would be about time to head back down to camp and start packing for our way back into Trondheim.
As we returned to camp, first person i meet i Julian sitting there alone, saying “why are you so late?”, turns out he was going with us as well, but hadn’t told us, so now he was annoyed because we were supposed to take down the tent for Kenneth a bit earlier, but now we didn’t have time, so we just had to rush packing our stuff and head straight for the buss. We finally got to the buss after fighting our way trough piles of mud and drunk people. Tired, dirty and wet we got on the buss and started our way into Trondheim. Julian almost fell asleep, but i had a hard time doing so, mostly because of the incredibly annoying girl talking constantly about crap with her boyfriend, very loud and with a terrible annoying voice. The fact that she was really really drunk made it all even worse.

After what seemed an eternity, we finally arrived back in Trondheim. After dragging our way back home, first thing i did was pull of everything i wore, and jumped straight in the shower. That was probably the best shower I’d ever had ever….seeing as i hadn’t had a shower for 3 days, and was probably covered in beer, mud and sweat from head to toe, it’s no big surprise. Then i arranged my stuff, cleaned out my shoes (which by then was so full of mud i had to wash them in the shower first) and put my shoes in the washing machine. Then it was straight for bed. I fell asleep almost right away and slept until 3′o clock. Rest of the day was more or less just relaxing and getting all my stuff in order.
In the evening Silje and Andreas asked me out on cinema and we watched The Simpson’s movie with Julian and Margrethe.

All in all, it was a great festival, rain, morons and lack of showering all things considered. I will most probably go next year as well, if i have the chance to :)

P.S: Pictures from the festival is posted on the gallery. You must register to get access to the pictures, and it’s a friends only gallery, so all accounts will be checked before authorized.

Today has been, well a really odd day to be honest. After listening to Hanna complain about Julian being an ass, i had a chat with him on msn, which suddenly (by my initiative) turned into quite the “spilling of beans”. I told him that i didn’t like it hearing from other people about him being annoyed with me. Seems he’s been saying some stuff about me being too flirtatious with some of his female friends. Truth be told I’m only interested in getting to know them, seeing as they’re interesting people.
Well either way, it seems to have been blown into a big deal, and wasn’t meant to be, so we settled most of it over sms and let it go. My reason for reacting the way i did, was really because i think that when someone feels a certain way, like Julian did about my seek for friendship, he should have talked to me about it, rather then telling it to someone else. Hopefully he knows better now and he’ll let me know if something bothers him.

For all it’s worth, i can’t really understand why this became an issue for him in the first place, but i guess we’ll both need to have a talk soon and even out some rough edges.

I’m also quite lonely these days. The Rana people are all going to Praha, Silje and Andreas are heading to southern Norway tomorrow, so it’s mostly me, Hanna, Julian and Vegard left of the people i usually meet up with. I really need to get more friends….Preferably more Trønders :p

In other news, enjoying comics, café, summer, sun and everything happy :D New people moving into my flat, which i hopefully will get to know a bit better during summer. Bit difficult in the beginning, but I’m sure things will even out when we’ve had a moving-in party and all that.

So yeah, of course when the sun returns, i get a bloody cold…. All day today my head has been feeling like it was put trough a meat-grinder and then jumped on by a midget with very hairy and dirty feet. It feels like it’s about to implode, and I’m leaking liquid brain matter constantly.

Which means I’ve been staying in all day trying to keep myself busy. Mostly I’ve just been lying on the couch watching movies or sitting in front of my computer updating facebook every 5 seconds. I was supposed to go to the cinema today, but seeing as I’m flat broke as usual, and the small matter of my head being a bucket of goo, i decided to stay in.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better. Got allot of stuff to get done over the weekend, so i can’t just stay in and be sick all week. Tomorrow I’ll probably try to get some fly paper, deliver a ton of books at the library, then relax for some coffee before i go pester a couple of temp agencies. Then it’s off home to clean the kitchen with Hanna, which (hopefully) is done with her own room by then. If everything goes well , there will be two empty rooms in this house ready for renting :)

So if anyone knows anyone, or know someone that knows someone, that needs a place to live in Trondheim, don’t be afraid to get in touch. I’m really keen on getting someone i know, or someone someone i know, knows. Rather then a total stranger.

So I’m slacking off with blogging lately, but this time i’m not going to apologize. I’ll blog when i want to, so posts pop up quite sporadically and when i feel like it.

Well, not much to write really. Mostly hanging around with friends these days, having lots of coffee and just enjoying the company of others. Been hanging out allot with the Rana people lately and having a really good time. Finally managed to push allot of comics onto Elin, so she’ll hopefully be reading allot of Preacher, Sandman, Lenore and JTHM these days. Hopefully she’ll get addicted ^^.

Hanna is running around like a headless chicken trying to get rid of all her trash, all tough i doubt she’ll really get rid of anything, but rather stash it away in the attic, the garage and other places she’ll find that can fit all the stuff she wants to save. In my case I’d just trash it all and save as little as possible, but then again I’m not much of a collector.

And our verdamnt flies are back, so me and Hanna are going to try and clean up the kitchen again tomorrow. We’ll see how it goes, but hopefully we’ll get it done soon so we don’t have to live with these buggers for ages again.

And i really wish the weather will get better soon. I hate it when it’s cold, gray and raining. I’m actually having to wear my jacket again these days, seeing as the weather has dropped a whopping 20 degrees in just 2 days!

So i haven’t written here in quite a while. Reasons being many, but mostly it’s because of sun! It’s been the most awesome weather ever here in town, and I’ve been out from 11′o clock until late in the evening every single day for at least a week or more. Today however, I’m well placed in front of my computer, and the reason is as hilarious as it is stupid and painful. Simple explanation is that I’ve sprained my thigh. That’s right, my thigh…. while trying to do some yoga exercise i haven’t done in ages, so now I’m confined here to this chair waiting for the pain to go away.
I was at the store earlier today, but just getting there and back hurt like hell, so I’m going to stay in for today and most of tomorrow i think.
I was really planning on joining everyone for vorspiel at munkholmen then head for the F-Party, but I’m considering just staying at home for most of the day and hop on the first buss up there in the evening instead. I can’t be arsed limping around town all day.

So seeing as I’m limp, I’ve decided I’m staying in today, making fajitas around 7 and probably watch a movie. Unless something really exciting happens that i just have to drag myself over to.Either way it will probably be an nice evening. I’m kind of strange in ways, but sometimes i just really enjoy staying at home all by myself with no company, and watching a good movie. Kind of gives it that “personal time” feeling to it. I think tonight is such a night.

Well, seems I’ve gone and caught myself a pretty good sunburn. Nothing that hurts too bad, it just stings a bit. The reason for this is probably the fact that i was out all day yesterday, and the sun was hotter then hell. Who knows, maybe I’ll actually get a tan this summer =)
Okay, so to sum it up. I was out yesterday around 12, and met up with Silje. We had a coffee at bakklandet and just chilled out on krana. We did however decide to move away from there due to a crazy swarm of little black flies roaming the area. Head over to marinen and ended up sitting there for quite a while before Andreas showed up and we all just sat enjoying the beautiful weather.

After heading home for dinner, i received a text just as i got home, from Sonja asking if i wanted to join for grilling and beer on marinen. I was a little hesitant to be honest, seeing as I’d been walking around town for quite a bit, and also I’d just come home and wanted something to eat. I did however decide to join, seeing as I’m not the one to turn down a chance to meet people and have a great time.
I head back to marinen with Hanna and met up with Sonja and Gaute. We had a few beers, some sausages and just relaxed in the evening sun. Julian and a couple of his school buddies popped by, but had to go almost straight away to catch an evening recital. After just hanging around for a while, we played some Frisbee until we got too tired to continue.

Fun fact: from Marinen to our house it’s 3188 steps, and it takes 29minutes in my walking speed to get there. Having a pedometer is fun =)

Today I’ve been sitting for the most part inside watching random videos on youtube, but I’m heading out around 13:45 to catch a flashmob that’s going down on solsiden. Hopefully it will work out smoothly and we’ll have great fun doing it. After that I’ll probably just hang out or head back home, depending on if we meet someone or not. Then I’ll be heading over to Silje and Andreas’ place around 6′o clock to help them move some furniture and start working on my outfit for our alphabetparty of the month. Most of the day seems more or less set out for me, and I’m looking forward to it :)

Idle hands is the devils workshop as some might say, and i believe that. That’s why i today have been sitting inside setting up a PVR system on my computer (PVR is a personal video recorder, also known as a home entertainment system). The reason for doing this is because, well, the weather outside was horrible, i woke up late, i felt like crap and it seemed like the only interesting thing to do. What i should have done was writing applications for jobs, sending them out by mail, preparing some for delivering tomorrow etc. etc, but with the weather bringing me into a state of extreme melancholy i couldn’t stand doing something that required willpower, muscle activity or even oxygen consumption, so i stayed in my comfy chair all day..

So what’s been spinning my braincells lately, well, girls. It’s starting to get annoying to be honest. We had the D-Party this weekend, and there was of course quite a few girls there, some single and of course quite interesting girls. Now before someone takes to any conclusions about it being a purely sexual topic, it’s really not, it’s just that i miss someone to cuddle, hug or just be close to. Sitting alone in my room night after night and running around in town alone day after day really gets to a certain point where it’s just frustrating.
Now, I’ve been contemplating on this for some time now, and what I’ve come up with is this. The reason is quite simple, I’m not confident enough in myself, i lack self confidence, i lack self esteem, I’m afraid to let myself go and just be who i am. I used to be so energetic, full of life, running around having fun and enjoying the little things. Now i just sit back, have a beer and fumble with words and prohibit myself from saying what i normally would.

Ah well, at least i can write this here just to get it of my chest. It can get pretty mind consuming to have it bottled up inside for too long, so ranting about it on the interwebs helps, not for the problem itself, but for my own part.

So far this week I’ve done more or less nothing. Yesterday was ok, but nothing much happened, went to town, had coffee, relaxed, then relaxed some more, then went home and had dinner, sat up all night and head to bed around 4 in the morning (stupid i know, but there was this thing i had to finish…).
The forthcoming week will probably consist of “RAIN, AGAIN!” and then the next day “crap, it’s raining again!” then the third day will probably be along the lines of “aw dammit, rain again, I’m going back to sleep”. In between throwing curses at the weather gods, I’ll probably try to get out of the house and wander aimlessly around town, on an ever going hunt for some work (or so it seems these days anyway). If anyone got a job, or know of a job, or know someone that know a guy that has a cousin that knows someones uncle that needs someone for something, let me know. I’m getting tired of this lifestyle.
